Quotes:

“It’s figuring out how do we look a little bit further down the road to understand what we have and what we don’t have so we can proactively plan around it.” – Mike Ryan, (2:19)

“If a business is running on EOS, they’ve got a process, they’ve got people, and most importantly, their accountability is defined…the results are going to be not as favorable and not as sustainable as a business that has people, process, and technology running in a framework like EOS.” – Mike Ryan, (5:54)

“…what I find so exciting is when people get clear about what their ten-year target, three-year picture, or one-year plan is. When they get clear about that…they can begin to compartmentalize the journey that they have rather than trying to do it all at once or carrying all that imagination.” – Mike Ryan, (11:38)

“When the predictability and repeatability goes out of the supply chain, the ability to do ‘just in time’ goes away with it.” – Mike Ryan, (23:27)

Riding thru Cancer

When yoga instructor Donna Mogilski was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, she knew immediately what to do.  She grabbed her Pedego Electric Bike and decided to ride right thru it.  Doubling the amount of miles she rode every day (except for the day of and day after chemo). Pushing her body with some serious daily exercise while calming her anxiety and putting herself in a positive state of mind.  Chanting all along the way “remove all obstacles in my way”.  “It’s what saved my life,” says Donna. “My ebike saved my life. It was the catalyst for my recovery”.

Hear the amazing story of one woman on two wheels who rode right thru her cancer, using a holistic approach of mind, body and spirit that’s allowed her to beat this deadly disease and be declared officially cancer free (one year later). Thanks to her taking a positive path.  Driven by her “never say die” determination and spirit.  With a big boost from her Pedego Electric Bike. That’s what we celebrate on today’s PEDEGO PODCAST.

The More the Merrier

It’s hard to eat just one potato chip. And for some entrepreneurs, it’s equally hard to run just one Pedego Electric Bike store.  Once the first one is up and running, there’s a drive for more.

That’s certainly the case with this week’s guest, Zach Selby, who opened his first shop almost on a whim.  Having taken over the family business of machining aircraft parts and moved it to Utah, he still longed for something a bit more fun and people oriented. So he found a small retail location and rented it without even being sure what he’d do there. Until eBikes appeared on his radar.  “I got to the machine shop at 4am and found I couldn’t wait to get to the bike shop” explains Zach. “So I just kept going and growing both.” Recently opening his 5th Pedego store in Utah.

“They’re just so darn fun,” smiles Zach. Particularly the way he does them, with a full blown bar attached to his latest store in South Jordan called The Recharge Pub and Grub.  Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?

Throughout the episode, Will and Nathen discussed how EOS has affected Nathen, his clients, and the people around them.

Quotes:

“…Do things that…fill your energy, bring you energy, bring you joy. And you know, when you’re done, you should have more energy. And that’s how I feel.” Nathen Fox, (4:09)

“My challenge is making time for other passions…We just had our quarterly meeting today with our team. And that was on the issues list is me protecting my time and making time for other passions. So we’re making that happen.” Nathen Fox, (6:33)

“[The visionaries are] working on delegating the things that they like to do and are good at, so they can spend a hundred percent of their time in the box of things they love to do and are great at.” Nathen Fox, (9:44)

“We really were brought up to work hard and that’ll take care of everything, but, that’s not the case. They really got to learn to not work as hard.” Nathen Fox, (14:55)

“I just believe in implementing EOS purely and making sure that companies stick to it and create that result quarter after quarter.” Nathen Fox, (39:15)

What is a Caregiver?

Posted in charities, non-profits on May 18, 2022 by OC Talk Radio

https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-vev4n-122bbcf

This episode of Living Hope is a continuation of a pervious conversation about being a Caregiver with Stephanie Ruvalcaba Ho. What is a Caregiver? If you provide help to another person in need, you are a caregiver. Caregivers can be professional – hired through an agency or a family member stepping up.  Caregivers come in all different types – the one who takes care of all the medical needs, runs errands, meals, personal needs.  There is a lot to being a Caregiver, many challenges, roll coaster of emotions. Even with all these feelings there are some good things that can come out of this difficult situation. Listen as we have a very open and honest discussion here only on OC Talk Radio, Orange County’s only community radio station streaming live from UC I Beall Applied Innovation at the Cove.

This episode of Living Hope is dedicated to all Caregivers and thank them for their care, support and love during our journey.  I’d like to end with a quote from Former First Lady, Rosalynn Carter: “There are only four kinds of people in this world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers and those who will need caregivers. Caregiving is universal.”

Wow! It’s been a year already?

I can’t believe a year has come and gone! Who knew, for me the first episode I would go from “Executive Producer,” to actually becoming the host.  Looking back through our first year, so many amazing journeys, each one left me with wanting to learn more.  We shared so many emotions, laughter and tears but each one filled with love. Many of the journey’s may not have had the outcome we hoped for but we still found something positive, some strength we could take from every journey.  Join us on our weekly journey as we provide hope here only on OC Talk Radio Orange County’s only radio station live streaming from our station here at UCI Beall Innovation Center at the Cove
